In recent years, SCT pay great concern to the community well-being. Bearing in mind its social responsibilities, it has organized and participated in a lot of community services exercises. It has extended its support and assistance to various sector of the community, including people in financial difficulties, students, elderlies and victims of natural calamity:
1. Respect the elderly and cherish the children:
SCT staff visited the elderly homes in Yangpu, Wusong and Baoshan. We cleaned their premises and donated food and daily necessities to the elderly. We also visited the nurseries and kindergarden of Baoshan Area and donated gifts to the children.
2. Dock
School:
Wusong High School was adopted as the first dock school of SCT in 1999. 18 students of the Wusong High School received subsidies before the 50 th National Day. SCT has donated 56 computer to Wusong High School in the new millennia.
3. Shanghai Port Solicit articles:
SCT has ever fronted for the solicit articles together with Shanghai Youth Daily in order to let the modern students know the past and presence of Shanghai part.
4. Help the victims of matural calcmity:
In the past few years, the staff of SCT has made a total contribution of 29527 pieces of clothes and RMB 300,000 the disaster areas in Yunnan, Hunan and along the Yangsze River Area.
